Our Message
Executive Director
Welcome,
At the Parry Sound Friendship Centre, we believe everyone who comes through our doors should feel a sense of belonging.
Friendship Centres are places where Indigenous people living in urban spaces can gather, connect with one another, share culture, and access culturally grounded programs and services. They are places of support, opportunity, learning, healing, and community.
Our work is rooted in the belief that urban Indigenous people should have equitable access to services and opportunities while maintaining strong connections to culture, identity, family, and community.
We also welcome non-Indigenous community members who come in a spirit of respect, learning, allyship, and reciprocity. Strong relationships are built when we listen to one another, share responsibility, contribute meaningfully, and recognize that reconciliation is something we do together.
As we move forward, our focus is not only on the services we provide, but on the relationships, we build. We are committed to listening to our community, creating opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the Parry Sound Friendship Centre continues to be a place where people feel welcome, respected, and connected.
Whether you are visiting us for the first time or have been part of the Friendship Centre family for many years, welcome. We are glad you are here.
